The online travel agency Tourlane wanted to make a splash on the market with their first-ever advertising campaign in January 2020. My design partner and I came up with this campaign idea of "Travel differently" to separate Tourlane from the masses of other travel advertising. It uses bold adjectives such as wet, cold, early and dark that, displayed during the dark and cold season, would normally evoke an unpleasant feeling. However, paired with beautiful and inviting travel imagery and the pay-off line "differently" it puts a smart twist on it. Wet becomes "Wet, differently" shown over beautiful Bondi Beach in Australia. Dark becomes "Dark, differently" juxtapositioned over a night sky in Mexico.
OOH ads were displayed in Hamburg, DE, as posters, digitally animated posters and billboards. Social media ads were shown as videos and carousels on Instagram and Facebook.
